Thysse worked closely with Performa to develop the ‘Mutual Grounds Cafe’ a central hub used by clients and employees alike. Custom cabinetry, tiling, shelving with built-in brand signage work together to create an lively spot to gather. At the heart of the cafe, a one-of-a-kind bar seating area mimics the room’s architectural curves. Featuring coffee and keg service, the cafe is ready to host early morning meetings and happy hours alike.
“Thysse has been a phenomenal partner for our YMCA expansion project! As a family-owned, local company, they understand what makes our small Wisconsin community so special. Their creativity and attention to detail has us excited in every design meeting and we look forward to the installation of the final product that will showcase the Green County Family YMCA in a new, refreshing way for generations to come!”
– Luke Smetters, Membership & Community Engagement Director, Green County Family YMCA
We identified potential branding and storytelling opportunities while heading off any potential architectural issues before plans were finalized and construction began. Thysse also worked closely with Society Insurance staff during this time. Our team lead discussions and asked questions to learn everything we possibly could about the company’s history, culture, and values. The result was curated, meaningful moments thoughtfully displayed throughout the building.
Working closely with the architects and interior design teams allowed Thysse the advantage of using the same interior finish materials. We used wood and tile in conjunction with graphics and messaging to create a compelling facility brand that worked within the building’s overall finishes palette. Everything worked together to create a seamless experience that was purposeful and true to the Society Insurance corporate culture while not looking like an afterthought.
