Thysse worked closely with Performa to develop the ‘Mutual Grounds Cafe’ a central hub used by clients and employees alike. Custom cabinetry, tiling, shelving with built-in brand signage work together to create an lively spot to gather. At the heart of the cafe, a one-of-a-kind bar seating area mimics the room’s architectural curves. Featuring coffee and keg service, the cafe is ready to host early morning meetings and happy hours alike.
“Working with Thysse was so easy, fun, and rewarding. Not only did they create a great finished product, but they fully integrated into our team and felt like part of the family.”
– Alex Pierce, UW Recreation & Wellness, Director of Marketing
We identified potential branding and storytelling opportunities while heading off any potential architectural issues before plans were finalized and construction began. Thysse also worked closely with Society Insurance staff during this time. Our team lead discussions and asked questions to learn everything we possibly could about the company’s history, culture, and values. The result was curated, meaningful moments thoughtfully displayed throughout the building.
Working closely with the architects and interior design teams allowed Thysse the advantage of using the same interior finish materials. We used wood and tile in conjunction with graphics and messaging to create a compelling facility brand that worked within the building’s overall finishes palette. Everything worked together to create a seamless experience that was purposeful and true to the Society Insurance corporate culture while not looking like an afterthought.
