The new CDIS building is just over 340,000 sq. ft., doubling the current CDIS capacity, and will become the most energy efficient building on UW Madison’s campus. The elements of sustainability include onsite solar energy generation, efficiency upgrades spanning all consumables and 25% site coverage with plants. These attributes allowed the facility to achieve LEED Platinum certification status – the highest green-building standard worldwide.
