Rather than focusing on a single feature or monument, Colony Brands took a distributed approach. The 100-year message would live across:
The intent was simple and powerful: surround the organization with its own story.
Wide format print became the vehicle for that visibility—large, bold, legible from a distance, and repeatable across many locations and substrates.

Working from Colony Brands’ in-house centennial branding, Thysse supported the project through production art refinement and execution across a range of wide format applications, including:
Each element carried consistent color, typography, and message, creating a visual rhythm that repeated across spaces employees encounter every day—arriving to work, walking between buildings, moving through corridors, and even driving into the parking lot.
The effect was not a single focal point, but a pervasive presence: a reminder, everywhere you looked, that you were part of something with a century of history behind it.

Colony Brands provided the foundational creative, and Thysse’s role focused on production art and wide format execution—refining color, depth, and material behavior so the graphics performed at architectural scale and across varied environments.
Gold tones were adjusted for richness and contrast. Flat fields were given subtle dimension so they held up on large exterior surfaces and under changing daylight. Layouts were adapted for windows, metal panels, fabric banners, and vinyl wraps, ensuring legibility and consistency whether viewed from across a parking lot or just a few feet away in a corridor.
The work spanned multiple substrates and installation conditions, but the goal remained the same: one cohesive visual language, deployed everywhere.
A defining aspect of the program was its reach. In addition to the Monroe campus, pop-up displays and banner systems were produced and shipped to facilities in other cities, allowing teams outside headquarters to participate in the celebration in a tangible way.
For distributed organizations, this kind of environmental consistency matters. It reinforces shared identity.
From Colony Brands’ perspective, the experience was defined by responsiveness and trust.

“We wanted to express our gratitude for the exceptional service provided during our facility signage project. From beginning to end, Thysse's responsiveness and ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality was impressive. We look forward to partnering with Thysse on future branding initiatives.”
- Paula Ludwig, Colony Brands
From the Thysse side, the project was a reminder that impact isn’t only about complexity—it’s about clarity, consistency, and scale.

“Working with Paula and the Colony Brands team was great. Their clear communication kept the project moving smoothly, and we appreciate knowing the result was well received. Hearing we exceeded expectations means a lot to our team.”
- Sara Van Galder, Facility Branding Project Manager at Thysse
Centennial projects are about more than celebration. They are about continuity. About reminding people—especially employees—that they are part of something larger than their individual roles.
Using environmental graphics across its facilities, Colony Brands transformed its 100-year anniversary from a date on a calendar into a shared, physical experience. And in doing so, it turned a milestone into something employees and visitors could quite literally walk through—every day.
If you’re considering how to use facility experiences to tell your story or mark a meaningful milestone, Thysse brings the design, production, and installation expertise to help translate that vision into lasting, physical form.
