The result is the Badger Legacy Wall of Honor, a donor recognition display located on the ground floor of Camp Randall Stadium, along the main public corridor. Positioned in a high-traffic area of the stadium (approximately the 4 o’clock position on the building map), the installation ensures that the generosity of more than 7,500 …

When a company reaches a 100-year milestone, the story is bigger than a logo or a date. It is a story about people, perseverance, and the generations of employees who built something that endured. For Colony Brands, a multi-channel retailer with headquarters in Monroe, Wisconsin and facilities across the region, the centennial celebration wasn’t meant to live only in a brochure or on a website. The goal was to make the milestone visible—woven into the everyday experience of employees, visitors, and the surrounding community. The result was a coordinated, campus-wide facility branding program that used wide format signage and environmental …

When this client set out to transform a hallway connecting two campus buildings, they weren’t looking for décor. They wanted an experience. A lighthearted dungeon. An enchanted forest. A facility environment that could transport people into another world—sparking curiosity, wonder, and inspiration along the way. Done well, spaces like this don’t just impress once. They work every day, shaping how employees, guests, and prospective recruits experience a place. That’s why projects like this get funded—and why execution matters as much as imagination. Destrée Design Architects developed the approved concepts to support the building’s medieval fantasy theme. Their approach leveraged AI-generated …

WPS approached Thysse after completing a comprehensive rebrand of their visual identity. The next step? Express that new brand identity throughout their then-under-renovation 170,000 sq ft Madison, WI headquarters. In the discovery stage of large projects, we survey clients to understand priorities and tailor our approach accordingly. Sometimes priorities lack real prominence, but WPS was clear: “SPEED.” They wanted visible progress before January 1—in two months. The challenge wasn’t just developing concepts and translating them into “visible progress” in what some here may have affectionately characterized as an insane timeline. Senior Experiential Designer and project lead, Kris Marconnet, commented:“Intentional, deeply impactful …

A regional retailer with 45 stores across Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan was preparing to celebrate a milestone anniversary. Part of the campaign included a customer giveaway, triggered by a scannable QR code on in-store signage. But each location needed a unique QR code to direct customers to the correct registration page. Sending the same poster to every store would create confusion, skew results, and undermine the customer experience. For multi-location retailers, the ability to deliver accurate, location-specific materials isn’t a nice-to-have—it’s essential. While the promotion’s messaging remained the same across stores, the functional element—the QR code—needed to be unique …

How Thysse helped Flad Development preserve a beloved Madison landmark through immersive environmental design. Before it was home to The Tradition, a modern, upscale apartment complex just off the UW–Madison campus, the site at the corner of University Avenue held a different kind of legacy: Smoky's Club — a cherished Madison supper club with decades of history, colorful stories, and even a bit of scandal. Flad Development, the team behind The Tradition, didn’t want to erase that history. In fact, the Flad family had been regulars at Smoky's for years. The property carried personal meaning. Their vision? Incorporate the story …

When the Green County Family YMCA in Monroe, Wisconsin set out to expand, the goal wasn’t just more square footage. It was to build a place where people could feel welcome, supported, and proud—every time they walked in. “We want everybody to be able to walk in the doors and feel like they belong,” said Executive Director Trent Henning. “This is meant to be a community hub for Green County.” Backed by a successful capital effort totaling $27 million, including a $20 million lead commitment from Colony Brands (which included naming rights and a portion endowed to support future operations), …

The Student Recreation Center has become an essential recruiting tool for college campuses. The tour for prospective students often begins or ends here. It is a showcase of offerings, amenities and culture. Amazing workout spaces and wellness facilities can be the deciding factor for an incoming freshman. They expect an experience – whether it be a high-end, high-tech, high-impact gym, or a zen spa-like experience, they expect an experience. The UW Recreation and Wellness team approached Thysse to help them create a dynamic student experience …
