Acquisition of Badger Group Delivers First-Class Upgrade to Thysse’s Mailing Capabilities

OREGON, WI/FORT ATKINSON, WI, May 17, 2021 — Best known for generating innovative brand solutions while serving the local community, Oregon, WI-based printer, Thysse, announces a series of additions to its team and services through the acquisition of Badger Group. A longtime asset to Fort Atkinson-area businesses, Badger Group is reputed for their direct mail, print services, and digital marketing expertise.

Combining forces and relocating to Oregon offers Badger Group clients increased capacity for current services, a larger team to focus on every project, and additional offerings in vehicle graphics, signage and large format, creative services, promotional items, inventory management and distribution. The transition is already underway and progressing smoothly, as both businesses run on the same Print Management Information System (MIS) and are structured similarly to assist clients.

O’Brien, along with many of her dedicated sales, project management, and production staff will complete the move to Thysse. Thysse’s growth in recent years can be attributed to expansions in facilities and services. This latest union increases expertise and capacity in both mailing and offset printing services, and all transitions are expected to be completed by June 1, 2021.

Thysse Breaks Ground on $10 Million Facility in Oregon, Wisconsin

OREGON, WI, June 6, 2019— Thysse held a ceremonial groundbreaking in Oregon, WI, earlier this week on the site where the company will open their new headquarters next year. 150 guests and employees attended the event.

Jason Thysse, President, kicked off the ceremony. “A lot has happened in the last seven years and I couldn’t have done it without my family’s support, and my Thysse family which has grown from 13 employees when we moved here to over 90. It’s absolutely incredible. I thank you all. You should all pat yourselves on the back because you’re really the biggest reason we are here today.”

“What an exciting time for Oregon,” noted Village President, Jeanne Carpenter. “Since my appointment to President this April, this is my fourth grand opening or ribbon cutting.”

The new, two-story, 95,500 square foot project will be the third expansion for the company in the last seven years. Highlights of the building include a two-story lobby with prominent out-of-doors views, large employee breakroom with fireplace lounge, and a second-floor gallery space to display current work. The move will bring all employees back under one roof from their current two locations, with additional room to grow.

Partners in the project include: The Village of Oregon, Oregon Community Bank, Wisconsin Business Development, OPN Architects, Newcomb Construction, and Thysse’s very own Experiential Design Team.

Thysse Groundbreaking Scheduled

OREGON, WI, May 7, 2019— Thysse, a third-generation design, printing and manufacturing company, will break ground on its new location at 1:00 pm, June 4, 2019. The groundbreaking ceremony will feature staff and family members, government and local business leaders, the general contractor, and architect team.

“Thysse was originally recruited to move to the Village of Oregon’s Business Park in 2012,” Jason Thysse shared. “We moved here with 13 employees and we plan to move into the new building with over 100 employees. Our company has grown exponentially in the seven years we have been here. We wanted to exhaust all efforts to stay in Oregon and the Village Staff, Board and Chamber of Commerce helped make that happen.”

The new, two-story, 95,500 square foot project will be the third expansion for the company within the last seven years. The move will bring all employees back under one roof from their current two locations, with room to grow. Newcomb Construction will be creating the building using their tilt-up concrete process. 100 insulated wall panels will be fabricated onsite using Lycon concrete from just two blocks away.

Highlights of the new building include:

Large employee breakroom with fireplace lounge and sliding glass partition to walk-out patio
Second floor gathering room with balcony and open bridge to gallery space
Lots of natural light, LED lighting and in floor radiant heating to provide comfortable office environment

The building is projected to be completed by July 2020.
