Calendars are everywhere. Useful, familiar, and often recycled once the year ends. But they don’t have to be. “I’ve always loved a beautiful calendar,” says our designer. “More recently, I’ve found myself clipping out national park photos I’d love to visit one day. The idea that those images usually end up tossed or left unused felt like a missed opportunity—and that’s what sparked the concept for our 2026 calendar.” We set out to design something people wouldn’t just flip through and forget, but something they would use, keep, and share.

For the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Madison, their centennial wasn’t a date on the calendar—it was an opportunity to let their community hold a century of compassion in their hands. The team envisioned a special keepsake that could be taken home after centennial celebrations. The vision: a coffee‑table book worthy of 100 years of work to share memories with longtime contributors and welcome those meeting the mission for the first time. St. Vinny’s Communications Manager, Katherine Higgins, knew what success looked like: a printed piece that celebrates volunteers, supporters, stores, and programs—the food pantry, free pharmacy, clothing …

This wasn’t your average retailer. A Midwest-based mobile market travels across multiple states—Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan—bringing fresh produce directly to communities. Their goal: create a roadshow-style experience that feels local, no matter where they pop up. But reaching customers across dozens of towns and cities, each with its own timeline, required targeted communication. A single, static marketing approach wouldn’t work.

In rural areas, awareness isn’t a given—it has to be built. A healthcare provider serving a wide geographic region needed a way to connect with new patients, boost visibility, and do it all with limited internal resources. That’s when they turned to Thysse—and to Julie Ehrke, a Business Development Manager with decades of experience helping organizations reach the right audience through thoughtful, strategic print. Grow community awareness and increase new patient acquisition—without an in-house marketing team or the tools to manage a full campaign. The client needed end-to-end support, from concept through execution and measurement. ulie led the development of …

One of the most influential conservationists of the 20th century, Aldo Leopold is considered a founding father of modern wildlife ecology. Leopold is best known for his most renowned work, A Sand County Almanac, a book detailing his observations while restoring a plot of worn-out farmland along the Wisconsin River. Leopold’s eloquent documentation of his restoration would lay the foundation for key land ethics and stewardship practices still widely referenced today. Founded in 1982 by his wife and children, The Aldo Leopold Foundation (ALF) is a nonprofit that works to “inspire an ethical relationship between people and nature through Leopold’s …
